A part of the Story

Travelling through the Valley in Brisbane some time ago, there was a view suddenly revealed to you of the Story Bridge. It was up Curphy St beside the old Bulimba Brewery on Brunswick Street.

Curphy Street and the view no longer exist but this print recalls the brewery working (steaming even as I was told) and a couple of workers having lunch outside.

My grandfather used to have a tall bottle (the beer bottle then) at home on Friday afternoon at the end of his working week....Bulimba Gold Top Pale Ale.
