The prospect from the top of Mt Coot-tha has always been impressive, especially at dusk when the lights of Brisbane start to come on as the light fades.

The original kiosk the council built up there must be roughly contemporary with the New Farm kiosk (destroyed by fire), the Hawthorne and Bulimba ferry terminals and probably a host of the smaller terminals, some of which are still in existence. They are quality buildings and, in the case of Mt Coot-tha, a memorable place for an event. The event is about to happen...
